BRIEF HISTORY
The New Zion United Methodist Church was established in 1907 by traveling preachers known as “Circuit Riders” because, due to the lack of clergy, Methodist preachers traveled from church to church, sometimes taking as long as 6 months to complete a circuit.
The original church was lost due to a fire in 2003. Since then, a beautiful worship space has been constructed that will make you feel right at home as soon as you enter our doors.
Adjacent to the church is the New Zion Cemetary.
